Even Monsters Need Heroes

I am in the process of creating the first of a planned series of comics to tell the Story of Little Slime, a young monster, pushed, with all other of his own and other monster kind into smaller, secret places, seeking shelter and safety from the Adventurers who seek to destroy them all.

Volume 1 : The Journey Begins, is the introduction to our unlikely hero, Little Slime, his friend Flytrap, a nervous Plant Monster with a possibly mysterious and traumatic past they refuse to actually discuss, and the world in which they live in. 

The rest of the story will follow an almost typical fantasy adventure to save the "world" (in this case to preserve monsterkind from the Adventurers), where Slime, Flytrap and later Coatl travel the land to find the four Legendary Monsters and to fulfil their self chosen destiny to save the other monsters.

It will also touch on the Adventurers, most especially Adventurer Ralph, and find out why he wants to rid the world of monsters, and perhaps, how his perceptions of them might change over the course of the tale.

I have always been a huge fan of the underdog, and who, in a fantasy story could possibly be more of an underdog than a lowly slime.

I am aware that my artwork might not be as polished or as fancy as some others you might see, and this is my first true forray into the world of comic books, so I can only, i hope, improve. But I have a story to tell, and tell it I will.

I intend to release this volume of the comic when it is finished, though I might release it as chapters as they are complete. I have not come to the decison of that, but as I work on it further I am hoping that the pacing of the story might make chapter release easier.
